The VB9 Unloader Valve with Pressure Switch is a trapped-pressure regulating valve designed for professional and industrial pressure washer systems. It controls the working pressure by diverting water through the bypass when the trigger gun is released, helping protect the pump and other high-pressure components.

The integrated pressure switch operates at 30 bar and can be connected to a suitable electrical control system to activate functions such as total-stop or delayed shutdown. The microswitch has a maximum rating of 6(2) amps; a suitable contactor or control relay may be required depending on the machine’s electrical load.

Manufactured from brass and steel, the VB9 handles flow rates up to 30 LPM, working pressures from 22 to 220 bar, and water temperatures up to 90°C. A plastic regulator knob allows the operating pressure to be adjusted, while the additional 1/4" BSP female port accommodates a pressure gauge.

Important: VB9 unloader valves are not supplied preset. The valve must be correctly adjusted and tested after installation by a competent person. Do not use the regulator to compensate for an incorrectly sized pressure washer nozzle.

Installation Information

Correct installation and adjustment are essential. The pressure switch should form part of a suitably designed control circuit and should not directly switch a motor or load exceeding its electrical rating.

Always confirm that the valve’s pressure, flow, temperature and electrical ratings are compatible with the pressure washer before installation.
