Nozzle marking: a nozzle stamped 2505 is a 25 degree spray angle in size 05. Order the angle to suit the job and the size to suit the machine.
This calculator is a selection guide. Pump condition, hose losses, unloader settings and the pressure the machine actually achieves in service can all shift the result. Where a machine falls between two sizes we recommend the smaller of the two, because an oversized nozzle drops working pressure.

How to use the chart
Worked example
For a pressure washer rated at 100 bar working pressure and 11 litres per minute, start at the 100 bar column and slide down until you reach the number nearest 11 — in this case 11.3. Read across to the left-hand column for the nozzle size, which here is a 05 nozzle.

Things worth knowing
Converting PSI to bar
One bar equals 14.5038 PSI. To convert a PSI rating to bar, divide the PSI value by 14.5038.
Reading nozzle markings
The first two digits stamped on a nozzle are the spray angle and the remaining digits are the nozzle size. A nozzle marked 4004 is 40 degrees, size 04.
Check before you order
A nozzle that is too small can overload the pump, motor or engine, and one that is too large will drop your working pressure. If your machine sits between two sizes, call us on 015395 66193 with the make, model and rated output and we will confirm it.
