Standard Flow Actuated Timed Shutdown System

Every WM100/12HC is supplied as standard with a flow-actuated unloader valve and an automatic timed shutdown system.

When the operator releases the trigger gun, the pump enters bypass mode. If the trigger is not operated again within approximately 4–8 minutes, the machine automatically switches itself off. To continue cleaning, the operator simply returns to the machine and restarts it using the power switch.

This system has become particularly popular with local authorities, utility companies, highways contractors, fleet depots, and industrial sites, where operators may walk away from the machine between cleaning tasks.

Unlike automatic restart systems, the machine cannot unexpectedly restart if a hose, trigger gun, or coupling develops a leak while unattended. This provides an additional level of safety while also preventing the pump from remaining in bypass for extended periods.

Optional Upgrade – Automatic Trapped Pressure System

With this option, the machine automatically stops after a preset delay when the trigger gun is released. When the operator wishes to continue cleaning, they simply squeeze the trigger again and the pressure washer automatically restarts without needing to return to the machine.

This upgrade is particularly useful for vehicle wash bays and applications where the operator frequently pauses during cleaning, reducing unnecessary walking back to the control panel while maintaining excellent efficiency.

Please Note: Once cleaning has been completed, the pressure washer should always be switched off at the main power switch. The automatic restart feature is intended purely as an operational convenience during cleaning and should not replace normal shutdown procedures.
