Motor Horsepower (HP) Estimation & Frame Sizes Guide
Accurately estimate the required motor horsepower (HP) for your pump system with our simple formula: Pump Litres (LPM) x Pressure (Bar) divided by 380 = HP Required. This straightforward calculation ensures you select a motor that provides sufficient power for optimal pump performance, streamlining your process for pressure washing, fluid transfer, and industrial cleaning applications.
Example Calculation:
For a pump with a flow rate of 20 LPM and pressure of 150 Bar:
(20 x 150) / 380 = 7.89 HP required
Motor Frame Sizes (mm):
Frame 90: Length = 120 mm, Width = 140 mm
Frame 100: Length = 140 mm, Width = 160 mm
Frame 132: Length = 140 mm, Width = 220 mm
Frame 160: Length = 210 mm, Width = 250 mm
Use this guide to ensure the right motor size and power capacity for your specific system needs, offering reliable performance and efficiency for industrial applications.
