Pressure Switch

Shop pressure switches, microswitches and electrical connectors for commercial and industrial pressure washers. The range includes PR5, PR16, PS6, Interpump Simplex, Fanal and stainless steel diaphragm pressure switches with different switching pressures, thread sizes and electrical ratings. These switches detect changes in system pressure and can signal functions such as motor start and stop, timed shutdown or burner control. Check both the switch activation pressure and maximum working pressure, as these are different specifications, before ordering.

Pressure switches have a microswitch inside. They are rated to a specific pressure eg 40 bar. The piston moves out due to the water pressure and in turn, activates the switch. Some are wired in a normally open or closed state. Pressure washers use them to either activate a shutdown timer or used to switch burners on. There are many ways in which they can be used on pressure washers. A common use is on the Karcher cold and hot machines. As soon as the trigger is closed the machine will turn off immediately. This is because the pressure switch shuts the power off to the motor.
